Picture Book Critique with Rosario Martinez

A full picture book critique of a fiction, non-fiction picture book.

Rosario Martinez is a Mexican-American, children’s book author in love with the fantastical and impossible. She was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico and raised in Dallas, Texas. She’s an active SCBWI member as well as an alumnae of Tin House YA ‘22 and Futurescapes Science Fiction & Fantasy ’22 Writers Workshops. In 2019, she won The Word Editor-Writer YA Mentorship. Has an adult short story in PLACES WE BUILD IN THE UNIVERSE (November 2022), a Latine anthology from Flower Song Press and four picture books from Capstone in the MY SPECTACULAR SELF series, TIGER’S TOUGH TIME, A FANTASTIC PLAN (Fall 2022), GIA SPEAKS HER MIND, and OLIVE MAKES A CHOICE (Spring 2023).
